Share the Joy of Knowing Christ: Reach, Teach, Serve

Humanitarian Relief

Central Texas Flood Relief, 2015

The Mission Team of the church actively engaged with various churches and agencies throughout the area devastated by the floods of 2015.

We had another great response from wonderful people.  Thank you so much.  The mops/brooms/bleach were delivered and eagerly received.

NOW………our next step is to purchase a large supply of needed items with the very generous donation we received on Sunday.  For the moment we are not asking for donations of goods.  That may resume as needs change but for now we are purchasing supplies with our cash donations.

AND……Pastor Ron is meeting with District Staff to analyze needs in the Martindale community.  This small community had flood damage and we may divert resources to them.  We will keep the congregation updated almost daily.

Thanks for all you are doing.

Remember, bring only the supplies requested.  Other groups and churches are bringing other supplies.  Clothing and household items are not needed nor requested at this time.

And don’t forget, Pray Daily.

Van, Texas: Tornado Relief 2015

The small community of Van in northeast Texas has suffered extensive damage from a tornado.  A portion of the Communion Rail offering on June 7th will go to the Methodist Relief agencies helping our brothers and sisters in that community rebuild.

Mission Outreach 2014

In an effort to ease the suffering of many we were delighted to assist our sister congregation in Laredo with supplies, gift cards, cash and volunteers during the Border Humanitarian Crisis.

We have been able to provide funds for First UMC, Laredo, who is working with congregations across the border in Nuevo Laredo, Mexico, to purchase Bibles printed in Spanish.
